This position will be a Remote role and you will be working closely with the team in the United States through video chat, instant messaging, e-mail, phone, and through our software. It is important that you have excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral. Job Summary:

The POS Subject Matter Expert (SME) is a key member of our Base8 responsible for providing in-depth expertise in Point-of-Sale systems. The individual in this role will play a critical part in the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of POS solutions. The SME will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the POS system aligns with business objectives and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

• System Implementation:

o Lead the implementation of POS systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.

o Collaborate with IT, vendors, and other stakeholders to configure and customize POS solutions based on business requirements.

• Technical Support:

o Provide ongoing technical support for POS systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.

o Conduct regular system audits to identify and address potential issues proactively.

• Training and Documentation:

o Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and support staff on POS system functionalities.

o Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for POS systems, including user guides and troubleshooting procedures.

• System Optimization:

o Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to POS systems.

o Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system performance, efficiency, and security.

• Collaboration:

o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, operations, and marketing, to understand their requirements and integrate POS solutions accordingly.

o Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment.

• Vendor Management:

o Manage relationships with POS system vendors, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.

o Evaluate new POS technologies and vendors to make informed recommendations to leadership.

• Compliance and Security:

o Ensure POS systems comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.

o Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive data processed through the POS system.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a POS Subject Matter Expert or in a similar role.

• In-depth knowledge of POS system architecture, configurations, and integrations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in POS system management or related field.

• Familiarity with emerging technologies in the POS industry.

• Experience working in [specific industry, if applicable].
